Did you know the sash window first appeared in England in mid 17th century?

And three and a half centuries later we still use them. Mind you it is often because of a conservation officer, but it still counts in my opinion! On the other hand some people truly love them. Yes they are unnecessarily complicated and notoriously difficult to build, but you've got to admit they do look stunning on a period property. And there is no shortage of those in Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey where I usually work. Enough with the rambling! Let me tell you what I can do for you. I make all kinds of doors and windows, typically when we're working with non standard shapes or sizes or in cases where we need to match it like-for-like. Yes, I do make sash windows, but I'm not limited to that. I also make internal and front doors, hinged windows, and barn style sliding doors.
